Good video of a solution in search of a problem. If you think you need a device like this quit shooting and take up baking or something. Just learn the basics of arm placement. All this does is add more weight forward which adds more fatigue.

Maybe something has changed in FCPX in 2024, but now when you retime (custom stretch), it moves the back end AND the front end of the clip. So frustrating, because you're constantly jumping back and forth to try and fix it. In your vid, the beginning of the clip is locked in place and when you stretch it, only the end is adjusted.

Just got one of these in good shape for $20 shipped on eBay. I’m adapting it to Fuji and M4/3. I’ve only taken some cat photos so far but seems like a decent lens, though I saw people on Pentax forums were saying it was cheap and poor quality 😂

This is why I now prefer scissor based multitool like Roxon's KS, KS2 or M3 or True's Dual Cutter. I get a good knife and also a good full-size pair of scissors. I used to carry a pocket knife and a separate pair of folding scissors but scissor-based multitools are now my favorite. I'm currently carrying a Roxon KS because I find I very rarely use screwdrivers or can openers but almost always need a knife or pair of scissors.

After several years, I've lost my Varavon plate. Any idea where I can get a replacement? The Varavon website is either down or they have stopped trading? Much appreciated

Finally, someone who understands! I had a chance to try a plethora of gaming chairs, but all of them pale in comparison to the comfort offered by a good recliner. I'm in the process of building my dream setup and you bet that it'll a reclining armchair!

My trick is just getting some neoprene/elastic elbow and knee braces and sliding gear into them. Keeps them safe from each other as well.

I've heard you can run into problems with bi color lights and artifacts, my light is a round COB led , bi color, with alternative stripes of warm and cool cathodes, should i steer clear of this product?

Tip up with knifes, only is a problem with cheap made knife’s. Have a look at Benchmades Bugout! No problem after years of use! But what’s going on here? People order your stuff, pay, but never get the products? No reaction? Really? These products are interesting, but no rocket science. Someone will make the same products if you foul your cutomers.

I give the one I owned away. It was the only thing I asked for back. I didn’t realize how good of a microphone it was. It wasn’t until I was in the mastering process, and I got all the way back to track one. I prefer it over a blue dragon fly but I think it’s a tie with the Ashton Spirit, unless you want to record at a higher sample rate than 48khz. It has a tone that is colorful. I love the ability to be able to gain when on the iPhone or iPad. It fits in your pocket and has a bag and is well built. Plus nobodies going to steal it. It’s a great deal for 250. Way better than a baby bottle, less simblant than a dragonfly. Built in pop filter. If you get close to it as specified and utilize the gain your going to be amazed. With this mic your good with just a laptop, and you can even work wonders with simply a phone if that’s all you have. You better get one new while you still can because it’s slept on. I had an old shoe box from the Jordan’s when mj played with the wizards. It has a fabric inside it similar to suede. But what I do is open it and place the mic inside. The box opens like a briefcase. I place a towel on the top of the box and on the bottom and it sounds like I’m in an expensive facility. The only thing I know that sounds better is if I use a Ashton Spirit going into a 710 pre with a British eq, and a distressor set to nuke both as inserts. This thing for under 300 can compete with a 7k circuit. If you don’t have a studio this it.

Thanks! both my variable ND and stepup ring are out of metal so the string was sliding through. Tipp; to increase the grip, put a thick canning gum around your stepup ring and then the string on top.

Super late to the game but I ordered a replacement of the original focus screen, this after scratching it by trying to clean it. Yours is the only video I can see mention those screens in front and back of the focus screen. Online forums call them shims, canon calls them washer finder back. I can't seem to tell which one is in front of the screen. The only other video of someone actually doing this procedure just places the new screen in place. How do I make sure that shim/frame is in front of the focus screen? Minute 4:36

Additionally - if you are using Sony Alpha cameras - they have in-built unscrewer (leather neck strap) ror stuck step up rings. You just tie leather neck strap around area on the end of the lens and step-up ring and try unscrewing filter - worked in a seconds for me.
